If you've got any more suggestions, let me know!
- A Song of Ice and Fire (book 1-4) - George R.R. Martin: because I have these as a box set on my Kindle. If enjoyable, I'll also get the fifth one, though that seems like a done deal, really.
- The Makioka Sisters - Tanizaki Junichiro: I need to finally get some iconic Japanese literature under my belt; I'm supposed to know these things, actually. *cough*
- Moab is my Washpot - Stephen Fry: already started this one, but Fry has a verbosity I can only dream of, and therefore can only digest in small quantities.
- Notre-Dame de Paris - Victor Hugo: I know the story of the Hunchback, but I want to read it in the original French to force myself to practice.
- Harry Potter and the philosopher's Stone - JK Rowling (Japanese translation): again, to force myself to practice Japanese because it is disappearing at an astonishing rate.
- Middlemarch - George Eliot: because just Jane Austen and Emily Brontë won't do.
The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins: just to see what all the fuss is about. Finished, REVIEW UP!(2012)
EXTRA:
- TBC
